The second Women Deliver conference was held from June 7-9, 2010 in Washington, D.C., and hosted 3200 participants, including 250 young people. The Women Deliver Conference is a global conference that brings together advocates, researchers, policy makers, and global leaders from around the world in order to highlight maternal and reproductive health as a global priority. A youth pre-conference workshop was also planned prior to the main conference, which aimed to empower and equip young people with the tools, resources, and knowledge to take the advocacy messages of Women Deliver home to their peers. The Youth Coalition delegation at Women Deliver participated in many aspects of the conference, including the planning of the youth-focused concurrent sessions, speaking at the main plenary, facilitating and speaking in several concurrent sessions, and also facilitating sessions at the youth pre-conference.
